I strongly believe that both girls and boys are more than capable to do everything they would like to do with some effort.
Experts were asking young girls about their future and it was them who said that they don’t feel clever, which I thing it’s a huge error.
So this has to be changed.
I blame it on the images that media and business has created of the role women play. From a very young age, girls are given dolls and wear clothes that are cute or girly. Boys on the other hand, are given all the right messages. This creates two different experiences which leads girls to feel that science is not for them and is too difficult. Trust your ability, you can become a scientist! Science is for everyone.
It’s mostly the society that makes the girl feel that way right from her childhood days. I am optimistic this will change soon 🙂 and both girls and boys will be treated equally.
