Hi there
They can encourage people to not go to work so that the virus doesn’t spread. Also, to help the elderly as they become lonely. They can also fund more research into developing a vaccine.

Hi swim393car,
I completely agree with Zahra. The government should urge businesses to work from home and close schools and universities to help prevent the spread of the disease. Also arrange for welfare services for the elderly and the vulnerable in self-isolation.
I am from a country where the virus has locked people at their homes for a long time now. This is what UK government should have done a while ago and anticipate, tell people to stay at their places.
Young people are healthy and strong in most of the cases, but imagine an old person that could not be that strong and we are putting them and their weak bodies at risk.
We have to stay at home to make more vulnerable people be safer from getting sick, and this is a very easy thing to do.
A lot of effort is also being done by scientist to develop a vaccine or medicines, but this is a slow process so meanwhile, each person has the responsibility to make the most effort they can.
